SATELLOON ( or a balloon satellite)

SATELLOON

satelloon is a satellite that is inflated with gas after it has been put into the orbit. Some satelloons which were successfully launched by U.S. are ECHO 1, EXPLORER 9, PAGEOS 1, etc.

This is a postage stamp issued by U.S. post office
commemorating project echo 1 on December 15,1960.

West Virginia University has submitted a balloon satellites project which was sponsered by NASA WV space grant consortium which involved design, build, launch, track and recover small electronic payloads, using helium-filled weather balloons to send their payloads into and beyond the stratosphere. Gobal positioning(GPS) tracking is used to track the satellite's travel path and to ultimately find and recover the satellite upon return to earth surface. Altitude is also measured using the GPS.

How to make your own tiny glider?

The world's smallest flying glider-make one for yourself now in just a minute.

zoooieeeeeeeeee.........it flies.
have fun!!!!

GRAVITY POWERED AIRCRAFT-flies without fuel

                        GRAVITY POWERED AIRCRAFT

This concept of sustained flight without the use of fuel was introduced on JAN 21,2004. A nuclear designer, ROBERT D. HUNT has come up with this new technology. Gravity powered aircraft is a hybrid aircraft with a fixed wing, ridged skin airplane made of light weight and modern composite materials.

How does it fly: This gravity plane uses the technology of gliding and aerostatic lift. It uses gravity's dual properties-buoyancy which creates an upward motion in order to gain altitude, and gravity acceleration which creates a forward motion and downward gliding motion, a technology that could make for a much cleaner and healthier environment. buoyancy is created by the gas bags filled with helium within the two large rigid pontoon shaped lifting bodies(lighter than air lift-aerostatic).
